Northern Command members were fortunate to receive leadership development advice from esteemed coach and consultant Dr Neil Carrington this week (Tuesday, 26 July).
The session was hosted at the Australian Centre to Counter Child Exploitation (ACCCE) aimed at all leaders from Sergeant to Superintendent level located in or visiting Brisbane.
The ACCCE was privileged to have Dr Carrington facilitate the session that was well attended and received excellent feedback.
Dr Carrington only recently stepped down after 10 years as the Chief Executive Officer of the national charity ‘Act for Kids’, an organisation dedicated to supporting abused and neglected children.
He was also recently the Director of the Leadership Centre for the Australian Council for Educational Research (ACER) and Foundation Director of Learning and Organisational Development for Mater Health Services in Brisbane Australia (a group of seven hospitals).
Dr Carrington has presented at more than 900 conferences throughout Australia, the United Kingdom, Middle East, United States of America, New Zealand and across Asia.
Of note, Dr Carrington has donated $3.1m in coaching and consulting fees for the past ten years to the Act for Kids charity.
